Quite an expansive scene! Nice work, sorry I missed this before. I've become familiar with the AB/M3 shapes here, I suppose the other formulas are the contributors to the massive size.

Thanks Kevin! :D Actually, now that you've brought my attention to
this piece, I may revisit it and try the new transparency feature
on it. As it's relatively uncluttered by detail, it should be a
suitable candidate. :thumbsup::nod:

This 'Cupreous Complex' would be a great place to hide,

I can imagine somehow climbing up and down those metallic walls,
and hopefully not getting lost or hungry. Just how far does
this complex go?

I don't know much about how fractals are made, but it's amazing what you can obtain with this technique. I wish i knew how to do such things, it would be a great source for compositional structures to use in paintings :)

Glad you like my technique a.w. I can see where 3D fractals could be a
useful reference source for the basis of traditional or digital paintings.
If you want to try your hand, I suggest you go to the #mandelbulb3d group:
[link] and D/L a copy of 'Mandelbulb 3D' using the link in the current journal entry.
I'd also recommend following some of Hal Tenny's excellent tutorials, which
can be found in the groups 'Tutorials and Resources' folder. Best of luck!

I already did download it in a surge of enthusiasm right after i saw your gallery, but it was one of those rare and humiliating cases when i open a program and i have no idea what any of the buttons do :P
Thank you for the link, i started to look for some tutorials on the web, but it's good to have some specific point to start. I guess i now have a good project for the summer vacation :D

Hello Mark,
Some Fractal you've made for this contest,:wow: for myself I've send in 3 entries, for this contest.
"Deep Space Telescope" / "Flower" and "Sagittarian War Mask".
but there were a lot of great entries, nevertheless it was a great contest

Hi Peter, glad you like it mate! You're right, the standard
of entries was very high overall, and I was taken aback when
this was selected as one of the winners! Saw your pieces
there, and was very taken by them, particularly your 'Deep
Space Telescope' - nice one!:D
