Did you check *Pasternak's latest structure synth creations, like [link] ? it's great to see many similarities in fractals made with completely different software, you may find it interesting
Had a look at - and faved - Pasternaks piece; fascinating image! - and I see what you mean.
Been trying to get my head round StructureSynth, but my PC wasn't up to the job.
However, just had a major upgrade (to my PC, not my head!!
so may look at the possibilities again....
