I haven't posted anything here for quite some time.
I'm happy to say that things are now looking much better, and I should be back 'in the zone' again fairly soon!
Just thought I'd give you a heads-up to let you know that my 3D fractal images 'Tier' and 'Hidden Kingdom' are now available to view - or immerse yourself in! - as 360° VR/Interactive Panoramas.

After a marathon rendering and editing session - lasting around six months! - the new video created by 'Sonical' for his track 'Locker X' is now on release.
This atmospheric piece was based on one of my 3D fractal images; 'Ixian Manufactories II' for which I provided the original parameters, and which form the basis of this remarkable work.
It has to be said that to get the best out of this video, you'll need to watch with lights out, in full screen, HD and have a pretty tough sound system, as the bass is 'profound' to say the least!!
'Sonical' is an alter-ego of 'BeamUp', AKA 'BrianOsaka' here on dA; an amazing Dub artist and video producer, originally from Australia, now based in Berlin.
My thanks must also to go to James 'GrungeTV' Knowles for kindly allowing the use of his 'Quanadium Steel' image as a surface map on the original image and also in the final video.

Dark-Beam - a call for Helpers!
is currently looking for suitable parameter sets to use as examples in the forthcoming update to Mandelbulb3D.
Any submission which he accepts will have your username attached to the title of the sample set!
He does have quite specific requirements though, so for more details check out his journal.

I am looking for a set of new sample params that will be included with the next Mb3d x2, that will be a formula update + a param update.
You CAN CONTRIBUTE AND YOUR NICK will be in the param name.
Resulting images must be elegant, incisive and clean, with a stepwidth of 0.5 to min 0.3! I will be very exigent with those requirements! Sample images are examples of elegance in my eyes.
no decombines. (ALTERNATE MODE each formula can have any number of iterations 1 to 20, leave maxiter to 60 as it's fast to render). And no weird looking images. Remember the elegance rule, fractals are not random
